With an education in Chemistry and Business Management, Andrew's career led him to be the Global Director of Human and Animal Nutrition for a multinational ingredient company. That role encompassed leading innovation, R&D, sales, strategy and bottom line.
Andrew initiated and led the project that aligned the correlation of the levels of oxidation products, residual antioxidants levels and the uptake rate of oxygen by substrate molecules to validated shelf life at ambient temperatures.
He also led the understanding of the functionality and application of active antioxidant molecules to identify which work best in which applications.
Both of these studies resulted in significant cost savings and increased shelf life for food and nutrition customers.
From a product development and strategy perspective, Andrew led the team to bring two ingredient brands to international recognition with dramatic increases in sales and market penetration.
